Former TOWIE star Maria Fowler has revealed some heartbreaking news on Instagram
Maria Fowler has opened up to fans revealing she's suffered a miscarriage with her fiancé Kelvin Batey.
The former TOWIE star, who left the reality show in 2011, revealed the devastating news on her blog where she admitted she had 'no explanation' for miscarrying her second child.
She bravely wrote: "So here goes. A few weeks ago we discovered we were expecting another baby, I can’t tell you how excited we were. It came at the perfect time and we couldn’t have felt happier.
"Unfortunately, soon after we found out, sadly I had bleed and we lost the baby."

The 31-year-old then went on to say: "I feel silly even referring to it as a baby as we were really early in the pregnancy and had not yet had a scan but I did grieve and I did feel like I had lost something very special.
"I feel it is such a cruel twist of fate to get such happy news and then have it taken away. Just like that. No explanation."
It was after Maria and Kelvin had told their families and a few friends the news, they went out for dinner to celebrate but shortly after the reality star noticed something was wrong.
"When I started to bleed I did hold out some hope, we had a bleed early on with Evie and everything was ok. I have been told bleeds in early pregnancy are quite common so was hoping this would be the case.
"Unfortunately, it carried on the whole next day and then continued for a few days," she wrote.
Maria then told her fans how she still had symptoms of pregnancy a week after receiving the heartbreaking news. She went on to say: "I think the hardest thing was the week after, I still had pregnancy symptoms and despite the loss, my morning sickness actually came a couple of days later which felt a massive kick in the teeth.
"I had the morning sickness for 3 days and every time I felt that wave of sickness it took me right back to how I felt when I was pregnant with Evie, waves of nostalgia and also sadness that this time it wasn’t meant to be."
After posting the new blog entry out to her followers, many fans of the reality star were quick to send their support, with many documenting their own tragic experiences.
Maria's fiancé Kelvin Batey also wrote: "Just got home from work to read a really honest and heartfelt post from a brave, amazing woman that I love dearly on our upsetting news last month. @MariaFowler you are amazing and despite what happened we have so much to look forward to short and long term. Proud of you x."
Maria and Kelvin welcomed their first child into the world in September 2016, a daughter called Evie. Maria often shares cute photos of her to her social media accounts, including this one of the family enjoying the snow in December.
In December 2017, Maria announced to her fans that Kelvin had popped the question during a romantic trip to Paris.
Maria confirmed her exciting news on Instagram by posting a photo of the ring, a key and lock which is engraved 'Kelvin and Maria engaged in Paris. December 2017. Our next chapter together - always X'.
She wrote alongside the photo: "I SAID YES #Engaged #Paris2017"
Despite the recent heartbreaking news, Maria and Kelvin have a lot to look forward to this year. Not only are the couple planning their wedding, they are also about to move into a brand new house.
