The actual protocol indicates that any social media account is prohibited for the Royal family, which explains why Meghan Markle closed her Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Despite this rule, there's one person who has an active Instagram account and that's Princess Eugenie of York.
Princess Eugenie's is Prince Harry's cousin, sixth granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and daughter of Prince Andrew of York, whom she recently photographed and uploaded to Instagram. The photo shows her father smiling in celebration of the military parade Trooping the Color.
The photo, however, is breaking royal protocol since her dad is posing in a private part of the Buckingham Palace that nobody knows about.
A wonderful and proud day celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday and @hrhthedukeofyork for his first Trooping the Colour as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards. #troopingthecolour
On her Instagram, Eugenie shares photos of herself.

And with her sister, Princess Beatriz.

She also uses hashtags like #TBT to show photos of her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who was an actress and television producer before marrying him.
90s flashback with Bea and parents to when my father commanded HMS Cottesmore... @hrhthedukeofyork @sarahferguson15
And of course, her puppies are Instagrammed!
Happy National Sibling Day...another set of York siblings to celebrate today!!
Although she's part of the royal family, Eugenie has a certain freedom that the other women don't. She's worked at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery since 2015, does not go to official events, AND has her personal Instagram account.
