Prince Harry and Prince William always have their mother present at every event in their lives. At the time of the engagement with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry chose precious stones belonging to Princess Diana. Thus, those key moments are always crossed by the memory of one of the most influential women of British royalty. But Harry wants to make sure that his late mother is also present on his wedding day taking place on May 19th.
For that, the prince invited all of the Spencer's—family members from his mother side—as a way of remembering her. His uncle Earl Spencer, his aunts Sarah and Jane, and all their cousins will be present. Harry currently maintains a very close relationship with them, including recently going to his cousin George's wedding. Kitty, another of her cousins, is also her great friend and with whom she has shared many moments of her youth at parties and night outings.
Other tributes to Diana
Meghan Markle has said in interviews that she will try to include Diana during the celebration. Some rumors say that perhaps she will wear Diana's tiara with her wedding dress, but this is not completely confirmed because it's in an exhibition. However, we do know that she will have a bouquet of white roses in homage to her mother-in-law.
In any case, nothing can overcome the fact that your family is present. The St. George chapel has a capacity of 800 people but the couple invited only 600 people. At the reception, there will be a total of 200 people, a not so large number but according to a celebration of royalty, quite private and without cell phones allowed.
