We've made it through the winter season and spring is pretty much here. The beaches are going to be crowded and residents of any touristy area are going to hate life for about a month. If you're one of those people that only enjoy being around large crowds when you're in the mood for them, but strange people really annoy you so you're never in the mood, chances are you probably find it hard to get pumped by the traditional spring break festivities. Here are 7 ideas that might assist you with taking advantage of spring break.
Visit The Theater
The theater is always a good way to soak up some local culture. If you're lucky enough you might be able to catch a popular traveling show.
Go Museum Hopping
Museums are pure places of enlightenment. With so many different types of museums to visit you could easily fill your spring break schedule with places to soak in some knowledge in a way that's more enjoyable than taking notes at a lecture hall class.
Treat Yourself To A Spa Day
Pampering yourself is a great way to welcome spring and avoid the wild scene for a few hours.
Kick Up Your Legs & Go Kayaking
Being out on the water in a kayak is a way to really get in touch with marine life. In a large enough body of water you can really get the full scale of how small you are compared to the rest of nature. Even if you go out on a group tour, it can still be a peaceful experience.
Make Use Of Intercoastal Waterways
Theses waterways will be far less crowded than the beach and you can still partake in many of the same activities. Take the road less traveled, people.
Quiet Camping
Go camping for real, not to some overcrowded campground. It’s a good way to disconnect with society and connect with nature. I might take myself up on this one because I haven't been camping since the Boy Scouts.
Crack Some Laughs At Comedy Shows
Going to a comedy show and throwing your head back laughing with a small group of friends is probably more your speed and is a great way to relieve tension on these few days you have off to unwind.
