Everyone knows that there’s no place like Target for all your needs, ever, in your entire life. Chips? They’ve got that. Lip liner? That too. A perfect setting for a maternity photo shoot? Yes.
Mom Page Miller of Barnhart, Missouri had a maternity shoot at none other than everyone’s favorite super store, Target. The shoot featured Miller and her two-year-old Avery doing normal mom/daughter things that everyone who’s been there can recognize. Scenarios include eating cheese balls on the floor, placing an order at the ever present Target Starbucks, and sampling nail polish on her little girl in the flourescent white beauty aisle.
“This was so much fun, a creative way to pay homage to all those awesome Target Moms out there,” photographer Heather Pippin of Inspired By A True Story Photography told HuffPost, about coming up with the idea. “The ones with the messy buns, half empty before you even make it to the back of the store Starbucks cups, toys you aren’t really buying and cheese balls to get you through the store.”
The shoot was a special one for Miller, who’s pregnant with her third child after her second one, a son named Clarke Joseph, passed away of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) in September 2016. She and her husband have already selected the name Malin for their third baby, whose sex is unknown.
“The Target shoot was meant to be a shout-out to all moms,” Miller told HuffPost. “This is real life, just making it through with a toddler and being pregnant. We are all out here just trying to mom it the best we can, have a little fun while doing it. It is only the hardest job I have ever done.”
A beautiful message from a beautiful mommy/daughter duo.
