It's a wonderful day in the Marvel World today as Ant-Man and the Wasp has officially premiered in theaters nationwide. The film, starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne/Wasp, is the sequel to the 2015 superhero flick Ant-Man. In a gist, the super duo works with Hank Pym to retrieve Janet van Dyne from the quantum realm.
In other spoiler news, lead star Evangeline Lilly got real about a future movie starring ONLY the Wasp. "The partnership between Scoot and Hope is so sweet and likable and funny that there are no other partners like them," she told VIX in an exclusive interview.
"I thought Black Widow and Hawkeye were going to be partners because I love that male and female duo but their partnership dissipated and it was more like they were individual members of the Avengers group together."
Although she wouldn't mind starring in a movie solely about the Wasp, the 38-year-old actress specified: "The answer is no but I do love the rumor that one day there will be an all-female Avengers film and I do want to see that happen and I do want to be a part of it."
